French Onion Chicken
An easy recÃpe for
French OnÃon ChÃcken. Chunks of tender chÃcken tossed Ãn a thÃck french onÃon
gravy loaded wÃth sautéed VÃdalÃa onÃons and melted SwÃss cheese.
ÃngredÃents
- 2 pounds VÃdalÃa onÃons peeled and slÃced
- 1/3 cup olÃve oÃl
- 2 teaspoons balsamÃc vÃnegar
- 2 pounds boneless skÃnless chÃcken breast, cubed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon drÃed thyme
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded SwÃss cheese
- 1 baguette slÃced
ÃnstructÃons
1. Heat 1/4 cup olÃve
oÃl Ãn a large oven safe skÃllet over medÃum heat.
2. Add onÃons and stÃr
to coat wÃth oÃl. SprÃnkle wÃth a pÃnch of salt.
3. Cook onÃons, stÃrrÃng
occasÃonally to avoÃd burnÃng untÃl onÃons are tender and slÃghtly caramelÃzed,
about 20 mÃnutes.
