POPOVERS RECIPE WITH BACON AND GOAT CHEESE

this Popovers Recipe with Bacon and Goat Cheese is the perfect addition to any
bread basket. They’re easy to make, too!
POPOVERS RECIPE WITH BACON AND GOAT CHEESE
Ingredients :
- 1 cup mìlk , room temperature
- 3 strìps bacon , cooked crìsp
and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh
chìves
- 3 ounces goat cheese
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter ,
melted and cooled slìghtly
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly-ground
black pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs , room temperature
- cookìng spray , for greasìng
pans
Instructions :
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees with
rack in the lower third of the oven. Place a 12-well popover pan (preferred) or
a standard, nonstick 12-cup muffin tin into the oven, on a lined baking sheet,
to heat.
2. In a small bowl, stir together
goat cheese and chives. Set aside. Measure out flour, salt, and pepper, and set
aside.
3. In a large bowl, vigorously whisk
together milk and eggs until frothy, 1-2 minutes. Add flour, salt, and pepper,
and whisk until just combined and only small lumps remain. Whisk in melted
butter. Batter will be relatively thin, with the texture of cream.
