Jamaican Steamed Fish Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 whole snapper
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of green bell pepper
- 1 onion
- 1/2 cup of sliced tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp of salt

- 1/4 tsp of black pepper
- 1 tsp of hot pepper sauce
- 1 sprig of thyme
- 1 tbsp of tomato ketchup
- Juice of half a lime
- 1 cup of hot water
Instructions:
- This recipe takes about 20 minutes to make. Serves 3.
- First, clean the fish and season with salt and pepper.
- Melt butter in a hot pan over medium high heat.
- Sauté green bell pepper, onion, and tomatoes. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Add thyme, ketchup, lime juice, and hot water. Stir gently. Set aside the vegetables in the pan, and place your fish.
- Spoon the vegetables and sauce over the fish.
- Cover the pan and lower to medium. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Turn the fish, place the lid back, and cook the fish for another 5 minutes.
